EXCEL FOR WINDOWS
** COURSE DESCRIPTION **

INTRODUCTION

In Excel Introduction Students get started with Excel, create, modify, print, and format worksheets, work with basic formulas and functions, use multiple worksheets, enhance worksheets, use styles and AutoFormats, and work with charts.

Prerequisite: Windows Introduction or equivalent course knowledge.

INTERMEDIATE

In Excel Intermediate, students review the material presented in Excel Introduction, use names, work with advanced functions, work with advanced formatting features, locate and update data, use special format and print options, protect worksheet data, manipulate the screen display, share worksheet data, and use templates and macros.

Prerequisite: Excel for Windows Introduction or equivalent course knowledge.

ADVANCED - DATABASE MANAGEMENT AND ANALYSIS

In Excel, Database Management and Analysis, students create and sort databases; use database functions, filters, and queries; create and modify PivotTables; audit worksheets; and create scenarios and custom reports.

Prerequisite: Excel for Windows Intermediate or equivalent course knowledge.

ADVANCED - CUSTOMIZING EXCEL AND USING MACROS

In Excel: Customizing Excel and Using Macros, students customize Excel workspaces and startup, collaborate with Workgroups, use AutoFormat in worksheets and charts, control and edit macros, run macros from menus and buttons, make macros interactive, use break mode, and step through macros.

Prerequisite: Excel for Windows Intermediate or equivalent course knowledge.
