WORD FOR WINDOWS
** COURSE DESCRIPTION **
 

INTRODUCTION

Word Introduction presents basic topics of the Microsoft Word, word processing application. Students get started with Word; create, edit, save, and  print documents; move and copy text; and use automatic text features. Students also enhance the appearance of documents by formatting text and paragraphs, find and replace text; and use proofing tools to correct spelling and grammar errors.

Prerequisite: Windows Introduction or equivalent course knowledge.

 

INTERMEDIATE

In Word: Intermediate, students will use templates; create letters, envelopes, and labels; use styles; use outlines; use headers and footers; create and use tables; format tables; use columns; and use graphic elements in documents.

Prerequisite :Word for Windows Introduction or equivalent course knowledge.

 

ADVANCED - MERGES, MACROS, AND FORMS

In Word: Merges, Macros, and Forms, students create data documents, main documents, letters, mailing labels, and catalogs. Students also use macros, sort information, create forms, insert form fields, modify forms, create help messages, use online forms.

Prerequisite :Word for Windows Intermediate or equivalent course knowledge.

 

ADVANCED - WORKING WITH LONG DOCUMENTS

In Word: Working with Long Documents, students customize the workspace, use worksheets and charts, and create tables of figures.  Students also use footnotes and endnotes, use hyperlinks, create indexes and tables of contents, use master documents, and share documents.

Prerequisite :Word for Windows Intermediate or equivalent course knowledge.
